Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned marathon runner then the Berlin Marathon is just the ticket. As it's an extremely flat and fast course it makes it ideal for a quick time or personal best.
Starting and finishing near the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin's most famous landmarks, the Berlin Marathon attracts a field of more than 40,000 athletes – who have been flocking to run the 26.2-mile course every year since 1974. And with 1 million spectators cheering you to the finish it really is a fantastic event to be part of.
As we are not tied in with any tour operators for this event, you have the freedom to arrange your own travel. This gives you the flexibility to make a short trip just for the big day or to arrange a longer stay and make the most of being in one of the liveliest and most diverse capitals in the world!
Taking part in the event
Our applications for the 2010 Berlin Marathon are now opened. You can apply for one of our places by simply downloading an application form. Please send it back along with the registration fee or alternatively email the Sports Events Team and we'll send you out an application pack.
