Palletways, the UK market leader in the express distribution of small consignments of palletised freight, is supporting Everyman as its chosen charity and is aiming to raise £100,000 to help drive out male cancer and raise awareness, particularly amongst its many male employees.
Palletways employees, family and friends have been organising their own individual fundraisers and events, incuding 'Tackle the 10,000 mile challenge' - a sponsored walk where every mile represents a life lost through prostate cancer each year; and 'Look at your lunchbox', where employees are encouraged to eat more healthily and lose weight to raise money.
Palletways are aiming to continue to support Everyman in 2007 with employees hosting fundraising parties, running the Flora London Marathon and by organising regional fundraising Gala Balls.
The Pink Link raised a fantastic £7500 for Everyman at their Pink Ball in October 2007 through various fundraising activities and a Silent Auction. The cheque was presented to Sarah Healy of Everyman at a special celebratory lunch.
