Everyman was delighted to work with Debenhams during Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month 2009. Debenhams once again sold ‘retro’ badges in store, with proceeds coming to Everyman. We would like to thank Debenhams and all those who supported us by buying pins.
David James, England goal keeper, has helped to promote the Everyman and Debenhams partnership. He said:

“I’ve supported Everyman for many years now and they’re doing great work. Testicular cancer is now over 95% curable, but there is still a long way to go with prostate cancer. By shopping at Debenhams for Father’s
Day, you can help save lives.”
In the past Debenhams have held a competition to find the nation’s best dad. The lucky winner was Paul Brookes, a police manager from Derby, who was nominated by his daughter Charlotte.
She said that he deserved the award because: “He’s always there for everybody, no matter what. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January and had one removed in February. None of us can believe that he’s already back at work! He really is somebody you can depend upon”.
